Let The Corpses Tan

Discover the new Hélène Cattet & Bruno Forzati's movie

The Mediterranean summer: blue sea, blazing sun….and 250 kg of gold stolen by Rhino and his gang! They had found the perfect hideout: an abandoned and remote hamlet now taken over by a woman artist in search of inspiration. Unfortunately, surprise guests and two cops compromise their plan: the heavenly place where wild happenings and orgies used to take place turns into a gruesome battlefield. Relentless and mindblowing.

“The references came unconsciously. We do not plan to pay a tribute to any particular film or genre. We started with the book “Manchette Bastid” and took sentences that inspired us. The approach was not referential on purpose.”

“Over the time, we have developed a very formal cinematographic language to tell our stories. It is the form that tells the background. It is a real grammar for us so we wanted it to tell something. The narration itself is more classic. We did not want our way of telling and cutting to be just an ornament.”

“Chained by so much virtuosity, whipped by so much originality, we want more of it, with the retina wide open” Paris Match
