Brussels and jazz, have been intertwined for many years.

Europe’s capital is historically linked to the genre through Adolphe Sax, the Belgian inventor of the saxophone; Django Reinhardt, the Belgian pioneer of gypsy jazz; and Toots Thielemans, the Brussels jazz icon who was one of the first European musicians to be accepted into the thriving New York jazz scene.

Today Brussels is at the crossroads of many cultures taking Belgian jazz in new and exciting directions with influences from Moroccan drummers, AKA Pygmies, Senegal and New York.

Thrill presents 10 concerts that highlight the best of the new Brussels jazz scene.
